On December 13th-15th, co-sponsored by the Shandong Ecological Society and School of Life Sciences, Shandong University, the academic seminar of “Village Revitalization and Nature Reserve Construction” and the 2019 Shandong Ecology Society Annual Conference were held at SDU's Qingdao Campus. More than 130 invited experts, scholars, and graduate students from more than 20 universities or research institutes attended the meeting.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Wei-Hua Guo, Deputy Dean of School of Life Sciences and Director of Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity, Shandong University. Prof. Bao-Cai Tan, Deputy President of Shandong University (Qingdao) and Dean of the School of Life Sciences, gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. Six ecological experts including Prof. Wei-Lun Yin (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering) were invited to give lectures. Experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in Shandong Province introduced their achievements or suggestions on rural development, nature reserve construction, and ecological discipline development.
On the evening of the 14th, experts and graduates of ecology majors from universities in Shandong Province participated in the graduate forum. On the morning of the 15th, some representatives visited the SDU’s Qingdao campus and the School of Life sciences.
