About the speaker:
Renjie Chai is the Deputy Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology in Southeast University. He was awarded as distinguished professor of Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education, Thousands of Young People and National Outstanding Youth. He is also the Vice President of the Auditory, Speech and Communication Branch of the Chinese Biophysical Society; the chairman-designate of the Stem Cell Physiology Professional Committee of the Chinese Physiological Society; the chairman of the Basic Research Expert Committee of the Chinese Hearing Medicine Development Foundation and the editor-in-chief of the ESCI journal American Journal of Stem Cells (AJSC). His research focuses on the regeneration and protection of neurons and inner ear hair cells. He has published 87 papers in the leading international journals such as Cell, Nature Communication, and Science Advances in the past 5 years. Teachers and students are welcome to come and participate!
